For effective preparation to ace GATE 2022, one should read the basic theory of each subject at least once.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE 2022 is all set to be conducted by the organizing institute IIT Kharagpur on February 05, 06, 12 and 13, 2022. Admit cards for the exam will be available on January 03, 2021. The application process for GATE 2022 has already ended and now it’s almost three months due for the examination. Although candidates are undergoing their preparation, a few tips from the toppers can help them to enhance it. So, here are the top 6 tips that toppers have shared.

#1. The foremost necessity is to know the GATE 2022 syllabus and topics thoroughly. Detailed information about this is available on the information brochure that can be downloaded from gate.iitkgp.ac.in. In addition to that, candidates can go through video lectures and make detailed notes.

#2. Candidates who are thorough with at least 8 to 10 subjects should try to complete the remaining ones. After that, they can start with the first phase of the subject-wise test series. Before doing so, the candidates must make it a point to revise all the formulas and the important concepts of all the subjects one by one.

#3. The upcoming month, i.e. November will be ideal for the candidates to complete the subject-wise test series along with revision. After this is done, they can move to the next stage of preparation, i.e. full-length revision. Simultaneously, they can work on the weak areas as they will already be done with sufficient practice and revision.

#4. Do not refer to multiple books. For example, pick one book for Signal and one for Network and try to complete reading within 50 days. Take notes from these books and revise them regularly. Important points and formulas are very much important for GATE 2022. For that, one can make charts or short notes and revise them at least once a day.

#5. Previous years’ question papers are again very important. A minimum of 15 PYQs should be solved by a candidate. On a daily basis, candidates can devote at least 3 hours to solving a PYQ. Additionally, they should analyze those questions, make notes and do revisions if deemed necessary.

#6. During preparation, if one requires more time for the theory section, then they should not compromise with it. In that case, they can focus less on the test series and utilize that time to cover the theory part. Candidates can look for the weightage for each subject and prepare accordingly.
