DRDO Recruitment 2023: The Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence (Government of India) has invited Applications for filling up 02 Posts for “Award of DRDO Research Associate (RA) and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)”; viz., DRDO Research Associates (RA) and DRDO Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for Fixed Contractual Engagement Tenures vide this DRDO Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement Dated 10.07.2023. The DRDO Recruitment 2023 Official Employment Notice for Both Research Associates and Junior Research Fellow Posts have occurred with 06 Vacancies; i.e., 02 Vacancies have been allocated for DRDO Research Associate Posts and 04 Vacancies have been earmarked for Junior Research Fellow Posts to be filled up with Consolidated Month Stipends. The DRDO Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement mandates the Willing and Eligible Candidates to apply in the Prescribed Specimen Proforma through Email thereby advising the Candidates to confirm Individual Participation in the Walk-in-Interviews to be held on 2nd, 4th and 7th August 2023 respectively.

01) Research Associate (RA) Post: 02 Vacancies
02) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Post: 04 Vacancies
Engagement Tenure:
I) Research Associate: Maximum 02 (Two) Years.
II) Junior Research Fellow: Maximum 05 (Five) Years.
Note: The Candidate will be issued an Appointment initially for First 02 Years as Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) and will subsequently be elevated to Senior Research Fellow for the remaining 03 Years, subject to the Incumbent’s Satisfactory Performance to be assessed Annually as per the DRDO Guidelines. The Tenure for Research Associates remains 02 Years.

Monthly Salary under DRDO Recruitment 2023:
Based on the DRDO Recruitment 2023 Official Vacancy Notice, post-Selection, the Monthly Salary/ies to accrue to the Research Associates and Junior Research Fellows shall be as narrated hereunder:
Monthly Stipend:
I) DRDO Research Associate: Rs. 54000 Plus HRA as per the DRDO Rules.
II) DRDO Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 31000 Plus HRA as per DRDO Rules.
Age Limit for DRDO Recruitment 2023:

Age Limits for General Category Candidates are as follows:
I) Research Associate: 35 Years
II) Junior Research Fellow: 28 Years

Educational Qualification:
Research Associate-01: Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D) in Life Sciences with Desirable Experience explained against Proficiency, Experience ad Analytical Knowledge in the Concerned Subject.
Research Associate-02: Doctor Philosophiae (Ph.D) in Pharmacology/Regulatory Pharmacology/ Pharmaceutical Sciences with Desirable Experience explained hereunder
Desirable Qualification: Experience in Animal handling and Pharmacokinetics will be given Preference.
DRDO Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
JRF 02: Post Graduate (M.Sc.) in 1st Class with National Eligibility Test (NET) (Junior Research Fellow Lectureship in Life Sciences/Bio-Technology/ Biomedical Sciences Subject Concerned; Or
Graduate Engineering with Technology in 1st Class with Valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Score in Life Sciences/Bio-Technology/ Biomedical Sciences Subject Concerned; Or
Post Graduate (M.Engg/M.Tech) in 1st Class in Life Sciences/Bio-Technology/Biomedical Sciences Subject Concerned at Graduate and Post-Graduate Level remain Exempted from NET/GATE (National Eligibility Test/Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.
JRF 03: Post Graduate (M.Pharma) in 1st Class in Pharmaceutics/Pharmacology with the National Eligibility Test (NET)/Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) (Junior Research Fellow Lectureship) conducted by any Approved National Agency.
JRF 01: Post Graduate (M.Sc.) in 1st Class in Chemistry with the National Eligibility Test (NET) Junior Research Fellow Lectureship (JRF/LS) conducted by any Approved National Agency.
Selection Procedure under DRDO Recruitment 2023:
Selection for Research Associates and Junior Research Fellow Posts involves Viva-voce, Written Test and Pre-Interview Verification. Selection for both Posts shall be carried out through Interviews. Appropriately Suitable Candidates for both Posts Research Associates and Junior Research Fellow would be based on the Individual’s Performance in the Interview.
The Candidate will be issued an Appointment initially
for First 02 Years as Junior Research Fellow (JRFs) and will
subsequently be elevated to Senior Research Fellow for the remaining 03
Years, subject to the Incumbent’s Satisfactory Performance to be
assessed Annually as per the DRDO
Guidelines. The Tenure for Research Associates remains 02 Years.
The Selected Candidate(s) may be allowed to register for Philosophiae Doctor with any Accredited University/ Institution during the Junior Research Fellowship Tenure.
The Candidates will essentially need to furnish Original Certificates/Testimonials with regard to their Educational Qualifications & Experience, for Verification at the time of the Interview.
Those presently employed in Government Departments/Public Sector Units/Autonomous Bodies will be required to furnish No-Objection Certificates issued at the time of Interviews.
Interview Details:
Interview Date: 2nd, 4th and 7th August 2023

Reporting time is 0800 Hours – 0930 Hours on the Interview Date, Main
Gate Reception, INMAS, Timarpur, Delhi. Latecomers will not be allowed
at any cost.
2. Written Tests may be conducted for JRF Posts from 0930-1030 Hours.
(depending on the number of Candidates appearing on the Interview Date)
and only those Candidates, who qualify in the Written Test shall be
interviewed on the same day.
