GATE 2024 Result: How do I use GATE score for financial assistance?

scorecards will be made available for download from March 23 to May 31.
The scores will remain valid for three years from the date of the
announcement of results.

Financial Assistance: GATE-qualifying candidates can apply for admission
or financial assistance in master’s, direct doctoral and doctoral
programmes in engineering, technology, architecture
IISc Bangalore GATE 2024 Result:
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2024 (GATE 2024) result is
scheduled to be declared on March 16. The scorecards will be made
available for download from March 23 to May 31. Once released, the
scores will be available at the official website — gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
The GATE scores will remain valid for three years from the date of the announcement of results.
Qualification in GATE is also a minimum requirement to apply for various fellowships awarded by many government organisations. GATE-qualifying
candidates can apply for admission or financial assistance in master’s
programmes and direct doctoral programmes in engineering, technology,architecture and doctoral programmes in
relevant branches of engineering, science, technology, architecture or
humanities, in institutions supported by the Ministry of Education and
other government agencies.
GATE 2024: How to avail financial assistance?
To avail financial assistance
including scholarship or assistantship for a PG programme, the candidate
must first secure admission to a programme in one of the centrally
funded institutes.
Depending on the norms adopted by the institute or a department of the institute, candidates may
be admitted directly into a programme, based on their performance in
GATE only; or based on their performance in GATE and an admission test
or interview conducted by the department to which they have applied, or
the candidate’s academic record.
