GATE 2023 to begin from February 4 | Check admit card, exam pattern and other important details

GATE 2023 is scheduled to be held on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2023. Check out the exam schedule, paper pattern and other details. 

GATE 2023: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 is scheduled to be held on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2023 at various test centres across the country. The organising institute for GATE 2023 is the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kanpur. The detailed examination schedule with timings and other details has been released on the official website, the link for which is gate.iitk.ac.in.

Further, the admit cards for GATE 2023 will be released on January 3^rd, 2023. The candidates will be able to download their GATE admit cards by entering their enrollment id/email id sent during registration along with the GATE 2023 application portal password.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD GATE 2023 ADMIT CARD:

• Log on to the official website -- gate.iitk.ac.in
• On the homepage, click on the tab, "Login"
• You will be directed to a new page
• Enter your GATE 2023 credentials and other details
• Click on submit
• Your GATE 2023 admit cards will be displayed on the screen
• Download the same.

Further, GATE 2023 will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The total duration of the GATE 2023 examination will be three hours.

GATE 2023 PAPER PATTERN:

Type of questions:

(a) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
(b) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and/or
(c) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions

Marking scheme:

Questions carry 1 mark and 2 marks

Negative marking:

i. For a wrong answer chosen in a MCQ, there will be negative marking.
ii. For 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
iii. Likewise, for 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
iv. No negative marking for Incorrect answer(s) to MSQ or NAT question.
