The Human
Resource Development Ministry has asked States to arrange for students in schools and colleges to
hear Prime Minister Narendra Modi discuss ways to beat examination stress on
February 16.
Mr. Modi’s
address to 3,000 school and college students in Delhi will be relayed live
across the country through a variety of media, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar
said. “We have asked State Education Ministers to arrange for students of
schools and colleges to be able to hear him.”
Asked whether
the West Bengal Education Minister was also among those who interacted with the
Centre through video-conferencing, Mr. Javadekar said with a smile, “Why are
you asking what you know?”
Asked whether
there was a compulsion for students to attend, he said the event was not
mandatory.
The one-hour
programme will be held from 11 a.m. and will have a 50-55 minute speech by the
PM.
The talk will be
based on Mr. Modi’s book Exam Warriors, which offers 25 mantras on how to
approach examinations.
