Greetings From Yashaswi group!!!

Yashaswi Education Society’s IIMS Chinchwad, Pune had organised a one day state level workshop on “Library Readiness for NAAC Accreditation” on 30thNovember 2018 at MSIHM&CT,Shivajinagar, Pune.
The agenda for the workshop was to have more clear insights on the overall readiness of the library for NAAC Accreditation.

The Inaugural session was addressed by the former chairman of NAAC Dr.Ram Takwale in his keynote address he was emphasized on the increasing role of library enhancing the teacher's responsibility in improving the education system.

Dr.Praful Pawar, Registrar SPPU was felicitated by Yashaswi Education Society. Dr.Pawar was guest of honor at the workshop. During his speech, he stressed on making library lively & happening place. 
The session was followed by Dr.Chandrakanat Rawal,Coordinator, NAAC Peer Review Committee and Principal BMCC College, Pune expressed his expert opinion on "Library Readiness for NAAC Accreditation".He highlighted on the changing role of a librarian from the keeper of books to the provider of information in this digital era. 
The next session was addressed by Dr.Jagdish Kulkarni, Librarian & I/C Director Knowledge Resource Center,Swami Ramananad Teerth Marathwada University,Nanded.His presentation was on "Beyond 4.2: Librarian's role in overall NAAC Process of the institution as per revised framework" .He opined that librarian today has to play two key roles- "as the member of college team" and "as  leader of library".

The session was followed by Dr.Swati Barnabas. She presented a case study on "IMS Library's NAAC Visit:A Guide to an A+". She shared her experience of the visit of NAAC committee at her Institute & gave useful insights on digitization of library resources.
The session was followed by Dr.Vijay Kanchi, Librarian, Moolji Jaitha College, Jalgaon. His presentation was on  "Library preparedness for NAAC: Some useful insights".  He focused on automation of library , ICT Classrooms & Development of Student App.
The next session was of Mrs.Vrushali Dandwate,Librarian, AISSMS College of Engineering . Her presentation was on " Library at a best Practices for NAAC". She highlighted on library as a best practices for NAAC Accreditation. She spots lighted on "innovation library" and suggested to incorporate certain rewards and recognition to the student that will encourage and motivate them to make optimum use of library resources.
The valedictory session was chaired by Dr.Bhausaheb Panage, Assistant Librarian, Jaykar Knowledge Resource Center SPPU, Pune, the concluded that library plays are integral role in the image building of the institute. Librarians role has evolved from the custodians of books to communicator of information science.
Mr.Pavan Sharma, Yashaswi Group, proposed the concluding vote of thanks by thanking the speakers of the workshop for enlightening and sharing their experiences towards the journey of NAAC.  He also extended his thanks to, the President, Yashaswi Group, Director and Dean of IIMS and all other teaching and non-teaching staff members towards their contribution in the success of the workshop.  He also expressed his gratitude towards all the attendees for attending the workshop and making it a huge success. 
Many librarians from reputed institute also expressed their participant feedback and congratulated organizing team for taking the initiative to the workshop.  
Finally the session was declared closed with certificate distribution and was followed by a group photo session.
