The
Small and Medium Pharmaceutical Industry Centre (SMPIC) organized a seminar on
‘Reverse Engineering of Pharmaceutical Formulations’ at NIPER, Mohali recently.
The seminar emphasized on various strategies used in deformulation of pharmaceutical
formulations. While topics dealing with role of reverse engineering in
development of generic products and role of dissolution in matching innovator
product performance were discussed in details, the speakers delivered lectures
to highlight new trends in this field. Around 50 participants took part in the
seminar, held at the centre, which has been setup to create synergy between
industry and academia.
