PUNE: Students from various colleges
demonstrated artistic skills with street plays on various issues and solutions
related to construction industry. The Builders’ Association of India, Pune
organised the Abhiyanta Karandak, a street play competition for civil
engineering students at the College of Engineering, Pune (COEP).
The street plays were followed by prize distribution
ceremony. Sinhgad College of Engineering, Narhe bagged the first prize, JSPM's
Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, Tathawade was first runner up, Pimpri
Chinchwad College of Engineering was the second runner up.
The theme of the competition was challenges of engineering
contracting and importance of civil engineering to the society. Each team had
the option of performing for maximum 15 minutes with a team size of 10
students.
Consolation prize was given to D.Y
Patil College of Engineering. All the teams will get opportunity to perform
during CONSTRO 2020 exhibition to be held between January 16 to 19 at
Agriculture College Ground.
