A Std V student is the youngest innovator who will be
showcasing his creation at the Somaiya riidl’s Maker Mela in January 2018.
Arman Gupta has made a
remote control cleaning and mopping machine on his own.
The three-day Research
Innovation Incubation Design Lab at Somaiya Vidyavihar will see innovators from
across the country.
Gupta said, “Once I
spilled juice on the floor and got scared that my mother would scold me. At
that time I thought why not make a cleaning machine that will work on remote
control. I love making robots and have made small toys with different devices.
I have even participated in one of the exhibition in Kolkata where I was
selected among best five innovators.”
Arman said he started
researching on the material to make a cleaning machine. “My problem was that my
younger brother who is six used to break my work.”
To encourage her son,
Arman’s found that Somaiya campus has a incubation lab. “She took membership
for me there and I started visiting it after my school hours. There no one use
to disturb me and I got a chance to explore things.”
The cleaning and mopping
machine Gupta made dries the surface simultaneously. It has detachable sponges
for its maintenance. The machine can clean the surface and dry it as well.
His invention can also a
play role in the government’s Swachh Bharat campaign, Gupta to DNA.
