Dr. Akula Sanjay
Reddy, President of Telangana Pharma Society from Kachiguda of Hyderabad has
been conferred with Abdul Kalam National Excellence Award for recognition to
his services in the field of pharma and healthcare. Reddy received the award at
a recent event held in New Delhi.
Earlier the award was announced by ‘Sikharama Arts Society’ in recognition of special services in the field of Pharma and healthcare sectors by individuals. From Telangana Dr. Sanjay Reddy is conferred with this award, as he has been serving in the fields of pharma, drugs and health awareness activities since past many years now.
As active activists, Dr. Reddy has always been in the forefront in bringing out various issues and problems faced by the pharmacy professionals to the government and played a key role in addressing them through the state government.
Particularly, when the Telangana state was divided, Dr. Reddy played a crucial role in bringing together all the pharmacy professionals in Telangana together and voiced against the atrocities and corrupt practices being adopted by the leaders of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Pharmacy council members, who tried to highjack the interests of Pharmacists in Telangana state. “It gives me immense pleasure to share with you that I have been awarded with Abdul Kalam National Excellence Award.
"It is really a proud movement for me and it has further increased my responsibilities to help develop pharmacy profession in the state,” said, Sanjay Reddy, while thanking everyone who supported him in his endeavour.
The award was presented over to Dr. Sanjay Reddy by the hands of Justice P.S. Narayana, D.G. Sailaja, All India Radio and Madabhusi Sridharacharyulu, Commissioner, National Information Commission at a function held in New Delhi, earlier this week.
After winning this achievement, Dr. Reddy was received back home at Sanathnagar with great applause and was felicitated by leading industrialists Madhusudhan and other experts like Yatiraju, Ramaraju and others from Pharmaceutical sector in the state.
